Hiding the Remaining Time

Add mystery to your lock session by hiding the countdown timer from view

The Chastity Lockbox includes a "Hide Display Time" feature that conceals how much time remains in your session. This adds an element of uncertainty and anticipation to your experience.

What "Hide Display Time" Does

When you enable "Hide Display Time," the remaining lock time becomes hidden across all locations:

  • Dashboard Homepage — Your main dashboard won't show the remaining time
  • Lockbox Homepage — The lockbox-specific page hides the countdown
  • Lockbox Activity Table — The activity log omits remaining time
  • Public Voting Table — Voters cannot see the remaining time
  • Physical Device Display — The lockbox screen hides the countdown
  • Vote Notifications — Time adjustments from votes display without specific durations

Your lock session continues to function normally even when the time is hidden. The countdown still runs in the background—you just can't see it.

Who Can Enable This Setting

The "Hide Display Time" setting works differently depending on your lock scenario.

If you're locking yourself, you can enable this setting before starting your lock session.

  1. Navigate to your lock template settings
  2. Find the "Hide Display Time" option
  3. Enable it before initiating your session

Once your self-lock session begins, you cannot change this setting yourself.
